Hey! I’m Courtney!
I’m really glad you’re here!! I’ve been on my rollercoaster fitness journey for almost nine years now. Losing 70 lbs after my first pregnancy and 40 lbs eight years later, after my second. I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs, and I don’t just mean my weight.
I am far from an expert, although I plan to certify myself as a personal trainer some day in the future, but it was blogs like this that inspired me to change my habits, my eating, and ultimately change my life. So I’ve created this blog to give back to other women who are in the same boat that I was in nine years ago (ok, maybe even one year ago).
Whether you’re looking for some tips and tricks, some motivation, inspiration, or maybe you just wanna catch up and become friends. My goal with this blog is to create a safe place for all of that to happen! So I hope you’ll grab a cup of tea and stay a while – comment, share, Pin! Let’s get to know each other!
I’ll start! Here are a few random things about me:
I live in Alberta, Canada, and although I love my country, I absolutely hate the cold.
I am 5’9″, currently 135 lbs. I don’t have any more weight to lose, otherwise I would be considered underweight. But I have a lot of toning to do from my two pregnancies.
I absolutely hate the gym and refuse to go. Ever. I exercise in my basement and I absolutely love it!
I hate running and cardio, I love lifting weights, and I have a love/hate relationship with plyometrics.
I’m obsessed with almond butter.
My dream is to become a personal trainer and help women all over the world to love themselves again. I will be taking a course to get qualified in the next couple of years.
I use emojis, exclamation points, and I write “lol” way too much!
I have an obsession with self help books, and I need to read every single night in bed before I go to sleep, otherwise I don’t have a good sleep
Speaking of sleep, I am always looking forward to crawling into bed at night. My husband always calls me “Nana”
I am missing 12 grown up teeth. I was just never born with them. I have four gaps in my teeth at the moment, which means I still have 8 baby teeth. I was told by the dentist that I would be wearing dentures by the time I was 16 years old. Ha! Proved them wrong. I’ve always been self conscious about my teeth gaps, but I’m slowly learning to embrace them!
I had my son at the age of 21. He is the most special, kind hearted, smartest, best big brother a mother could ever ask for! He was the best thing that ever happened to me, and he made me who I am today.
I met my husband at work in 2012 and we’ve been inseparable ever since. The first time he spoke to me I knew I was going to marry him. His kiwi accent just made my heart melt. We started dating four months later, he moved in one month after that, and we bought a house together four months after that. Since then we’ve secretly gotten married in New Zealand, moved across Canada, and had another baby girl.
I love fashion.
I love makeup! Another dream of mine is to be a makeup artist, but not as much as a personal trainer, so that dream probably won’t happen lol. Maybe one day!
I have stretch marks literally all over my body. I’m learning to embrace them as well 🙂
